Armpits That Fight You All Day

Sound familiar?

  • Baking-soda deodorants that burn or leave a rash by day three
  • Odor that breaks through by lunch, no matter what you swiped on
  • White marks and grease stains on every dark shirt you own
  • Aluminum you're not totally sure you want against your skin, every day, for years
  • Stinging on freshly shaved or razor-irritated skin
  • Switching brands every few months because nothing sticks

Why This Deodorant Has No Baking Soda

Most "natural" deodorants lean on baking soda to fight odor. Here's what they don't put on the label: baking soda has a pH of about 9. Your skin sits around 5. That's a big enough mismatch that a lot of people get red, itchy, burning armpits within a week or two — not because their skin is "too sensitive," but because the ingredient is fighting their skin's actual chemistry.

We use magnesium hydroxide instead. It gently balances your skin's pH rather than fighting it — which is why sensitive skin can use it daily without the burn.

Two Ways Of Fighting Odor. We Use Both.

Here's something most deodorant labels don't explain: there are two completely different ways to stop odor, and most brands only use one.

Some ingredients go after the bacteria. Magnesium hydroxide works this way — it balances the environment on your skin so odor-causing bacteria have a harder time thriving in the first place.

Other ingredients go after the smell itself. That's what zinc ricinoleate does. It doesn't touch bacteria at all — instead, it grabs onto the actual odor molecules your skin produces and locks them up so they never make it into the air. Think of it as a trap, not a fight.

Most natural deodorants pick one approach and hope it's enough. We use both — one that makes odor less likely to form, and one that catches whatever gets through anyway. Neither one blocks your sweat glands or disrupts your skin's natural bacteria the way harsher ingredients can.

That's the whole trade: real odor protection, without fighting your skin to get it.

One Stick. Ingredients You Can Actually Explain.

  • Magnesium Hydroxide — gently balances skin pH so odor-causing bacteria have a harder time thriving, without the burn of baking soda
  • Zinc Ricinoleate — traps and neutralizes odor molecules directly, without touching bacteria or blocking sweat
  • Organic Arrowroot Powder — absorbs moisture and keeps you dry, the plant-based way
  • Kaolin Clay — pulls in wetness without clogging or blocking anything
  • Organic Unrefined Shea Butter — keeps the stick gliding instead of dragging or skipping
  • Organic Beeswax — holds the stick's shape and helps it stay put once it's on
  • Organic Coconut Oil & Organic Olive Oil — nourish sensitive underarm skin without any grease
  • Capric Triglycerides — a lightweight coconut-derived oil that helps everything spread smooth
  • Wild-Harvested Birch Oil — a naturally clean, crisp wintergreen finish — no synthetic fragrance

No aluminum. No baking soda. No synthetic fragrance covering up what's actually happening underneath.

Tested Where Odor Actually Happens

We didn't test this in a lab and call it done. Before this stick ever went up for sale, it went under the arms of the people who'd notice immediately if it didn't work:

  • High school athletes running two-a-days in July
  • A guy who spends his shift elbow-deep in tires at a shop with no AC
  • A maintenance tech who's on his feet, sweating, from 7 to 3 every day

If it held up on them, we figured it'd hold up on you.

Three Simple Steps

1

Apply 2–3 swipes

To clean, dry underarms. No dragging, no waiting.

2

Let it set

Give it a minute before dressing — same as any stick.

3

Reapply if needed

Long day, hard workout, hot shop floor — swipe again. No harsh reaction, no rationing it.

You Don't Have To Choose Between Clean And Effective

Baking soda that burns. Aluminum you're unsure about. Odor that breaks through by noon. You shouldn't have to pick your least-bad option. Try Soothe tonight and find out what "actually works" is supposed to feel like.
